- On first Thursdays, I'm really enjoying The Royal Bean's open mic. (http://www.royalbeancoffeehouse.com) Whether or not I read, it's the perfect atmosphere for appreciating the power of great art.
- I won Teacher of the Year at the alternative high school where I teach English to students who are at risk of school failure and drop-out. It felt good to be appreciated by my colleagues. It also feels good because I can be hard on myself, and nothing that I do seems to be quite enough.
- I'm looking forward to the Southern Entrepreneurship in the Arts Conference 2012. The thing about conferences is you never know what you don't know until you run into the information. I'll definitely learn something.
